47226 Carbide Tipped Flush Trim Plunge Template 3/8 Dia x 1 x 1/2 Inch Shank
These bits are essentially a plunge-cutting straight router bit with a shank mount ball-bearing pilot. It is versatile, and useful for templates/patterns, routing of parts, joints, and internal cuts. Useful for handheld and table-mount routers.
The template attaches to the workpiece, and the pilot bearing rides along its edge as the cutting edges rout the workpiece, forming an exact duplicate of the template. A handheld router pattern is on top of the work; with a table-mount router, the pattern is underneath the work.
