Stage flush trimming cuts, whether in laminate work or template work, with this bit. Trimming the material in two passes reduces chipping in laminates and tears out in solid wood. A preliminary cut with the overhanging bit leaves a small overhang in laminate work or, template work leaves an edge slightly proud of the template.
