Stage flush trimming cuts, whether in laminate work or template work, with this bit. Trimming the material in two passes reduces chipping in laminates and tears out in solid wood. A preliminary cut with the overhanging bit leaves a small overhang in laminate or template work and leaves an edge slightly protruding from the template.
