Description
45364 Carbide Tipped Down Shear Face Plunge Template 3/4 Dia x 2 Inch x 1/2 Shank with Upper BB
These bits are essentially a straight plunge/cutter with a shank-mount, ball-bearing pilot. Useful for template, patterns, routing of parts, joints and internal cuts. Multi-choice use are in either a handheld machine or in a table-mount router. The template attaches to workpieces, and the pilot bearing rides along its edge as the cutting edges rout the workpiece, forming an exact duplicate of the template. A handheld router, has the patterns on top of the work with a table-mount router and the patterns are underneath the work.
Down-Shear Angle – The shear angle cuts faster, cleaner and lasts longer than straight angle because of the chip removal speed.
We recommend: using shear angle in most instances especially where large diameters are used.
